Kris Finnerty

Corporate bean counter & detail determinator

Delightful Kris hails from Dunedin, attended primary school in Oamaru, finishing up at Burnside High in Christchurch. Both of his parents were working musicians so it wasn't surprising Kris also showed a passion for music.

In 2009 Kris approached Michael in a mall to tell him how much he enjoyed his movie "Men Shouldn't Sing" and flattery will get you everywhere, because Michael hired him two months later!

So Kris has been working at Playhouse since then, minus an excursion in the middle to complete his degree (BMusHon) at Victoria University in Wellington. Kris has several jobs: he tallies the corporate finance for two businesses and manages the recording studio next door to Playhouse, here in Christchurch.

Currently working towards his Masters, Kris is a lively lad who is a musical accompanist for the Court Jesters, Gary Starlight (Jeff Clark), The Unicorn (Derek Flores) and other celebrity improv and comedic personalities. If Kris could be any Disney/Pixar character, he would be Buzz Lightyear, partly because he has a penchant for saving the universe, but mostly because he has a cool laser on his arm.
